Slank’s Gosip Jalanan Lyrics and Al-Amin Nasution

Not long ago, House of Representative via Gayus Lumbuun planned a legal action to one of Indonesian rock bands, Slank. The House of Representatives had been planning legal action against Slank for the lyrics to its song “Gosip Jalanan” (Street Gossip), which implied that Indonesian legislators are venal.

Suddenly they dropped the legal action, after consulting with DPR Chief, Agung Laksono. They dropped this legal action because they will let Indonesian people to judge whether Gosip Jalan lyrics is fact or just a gossip.

And yesterday, we heard one of member of House of Representatives, named Al-Amin Nasution (husband of famous dangdut singer Kristina) caught red-handed by Indonesia’s Anti Corruption Commission (KPK) in Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Jakarta.

Now, all Indonesian people know that Gosip Jalanan not just a gossip anymore but it’s strong and undeniable fact! Anyway, if you come here to find Lirik Lagu Slank Gosip Jalanan, here we goes:

Pernah kah lo denger mafia judi
Katanya banyak uang suap polisi
Tentara jadi pengawal pribadi

Apa lo tau mafia narkoba
Keluar masuk jadi bandar di penjara
Terhukum mati tapi bisa ditunda

Siapa yang tau mafia selangkangan
Tempatnya lendir-lendir berceceran
Uang jutaan bisa dapat perawan
Kacau balau … Kacau balau negaraku ini …

Ada yang tau mafia peradilan
Tangan kanan hukum di kiri pidana
Dikasih uang habis perkara

Apa bener ada mafia pemilu
Entah gaptek apa manipulasi data
Ujungnya beli suara rakyat

Mau tau gak mafia di senayan
Kerjanya tukang buat peraturan
Bikin UUD ujung-ujungnya duit

Pernahkah gak denger teriakan Allahu Akbar
Pake peci tapi kelakuan barbar
Ngerusakin bar orang ditampar-tampar

Will Boediono Become Indonesian Central Bank Governor?

Dr. Boediono UGMOne of my lecturer when I’m studying at Gadjah Mada University was Mr. Boediono. He is a lecturer of Indonesian Economics class. Although I’m not satisfied with my results at the end of semesters (I got D on this subject, wew), however I still admired him.

One of the hot topics in Indonesia now is about Indonesian Central Bank (BI) Elections. The candidate will replace former governor, Burhanuddin Abdullah, which is now facing law suit. And Boediono, later become popular because President SBY favourite him as a new BI Governor.

Whoever elected, I thought Indonesian Central Bank, in the future, must be a “cleaner” and can act as independent monetary and fiscal policy regulators in this country.

Come on Mr. Roy… Show Up Your Nose….

I’m not gonna discuss about UU ITE (Indonesian Regulation about Information and Electronic Transaction), it’s all governments right, I’m sure they have good goals. This post was one of my reaction to Mr. Roy Suryo which formerly accused blogger and hacker was the actors behind Depkominfo sites attack.

As a blogger, I’m quite annoyed with his statement. And now, blogger accept his challenge to make an open discussion to clarify all of misunderstanding right now exist.

Blogging is everyones right, it is like eating or drinking. Even, some of Indonesia’s minister have a blogs too, many Indonesia artists, and many many Indonesia’s scholars from inside or outside countries have a blogs too. Blog has many benefit to their authors and readers. And I thought, the positive benefits from blogging bigger than negative impact.

This is the invitation letter to Mr. Roy Suryo:

Wanted! Naked News TV Broadcaster

Contrary with my previous post about Indonesian government which want to blocked porn sites, Alt TV (New Zealand’s independent TV channel) plans to broadcast their news using naked presenter.

The idea behind the show comes from Alt’s creative director Oliver Driver, though it is borrowed from Canada, where the nakednews.com website began in 2000 and at the height of its popularity was receiving six million hits a month.

I thought, this is fully their right to do this. But, it must be more wise, if they also considered about the effects of their plan to the communities, especially to our young generations. [source]
